Excellent survey of the field. I’m surprised to see a lot of these numbers. Especially the steady revenue numbers but rising costs. It will be interesting to see if they can reduce costs through genAI, moving productions to cheaper places, smaller crews, less shows, smaller ideas, etc. My feeling is that studios are ill-equipped psychologically to do that, but I am ready to be wrong.
Hey Mike. I think your impulse is right. I think all the studios are paying a lot of attention and are engaged at the highest levels, but how to implement genAI is the tough part, especially because of the complexity and misaligned interests in the ecosystem.
